Seed Genetics Pro [WIP]

Pick your genetics. Premium hybrids run $300+ a bag and beat county average by about 10%, reliably. Budget conventional seed is a quarter of the price and a real gamble. Between those sits everything else. Prices, populations, maturity ratings, and trait packages are drawn from University of Nebraska performance trials and public seed catalogs.

Live with the choice. Loaded seed locks the planter to that crop and that variety. To switch, you unload — the way you would in the yard.

Set your rate. Adjust seeding population on the fly within a ±25% band. A thicker stand costs more seed and can buy you a few bushels, but it widens your risk in both directions. A lighter stand gives up ceiling for resilience. This is a real tradeoff, not a slider with an obvious best answer.

Get paid on the roll. Each field draws a yield outcome each month, centered on the variety's rated potential and spread by its consistency. High-end seed lands close to its number nearly every time. Cheap seed swings wide. Some years the gamble pays.

Field-level tracking. Plant two varieties on one parcel and the mod tracks both by area, weighted, through to harvest. Your combine's HUD tells you what's coming out of the field.
