9/15/2024 changelog

  • A few floating objects and terrain issues discovered.
  • AutoDrive/ModDesc conflict causing saving issues.
  • Binsite B reverted to standard silo. I left the xml there if someone wants to fix up and use with State Controller, but for the general public its back to a regular silo system.
  • Meridian Bins weren't cooperating, so removed to allow use of working placeables.

Field 12 appears to overlap Field 11.  Can't harvest contract corn on Field 12.  Field 12 shows ready to harvest but corn is not in harvest state.

Anybody else have an issue with wheat skipping from last growth stage straight to withered?

I played with the mapgrowth xml. The setting for wheat is wrote wrong. I rewrote the wheat setting similar to the way westby is wrote

I had the same thing and used the same solution as you. For some reason he has June and July as Set= "9" instead of add="1", which means it goes straight to withered.

cant dry corn in the giant dryer site at field 12? Also no place to sell dry corn...

drying is not set up nor is dry corn

Just a question though will the map stay the same or are you changing it all for fs25

Is there a mod that is required for bin site G? I own the land and it shows the bin site on the map but I'm having issues interacting with the bin site. So I'm wondering if there is a mod that I forgot to download. Thanks in advance.

remove the cover over the pit with a mouse click, then it functions just like a giants silo (not a production site)

I am having issues with my soybeans not being ready at the time to being harvested in the calender they wither right away

there is a chance you have fast forwarded time too quickly?  Need to stay in each month for at least 10min for the game to process all growth. Alternatively check your planting dates. Soybeans won’t stay harvest ready multiple months, but it may seem that way because of growth calendar. Once they’re harvest ready get to them right away. 

I was looking forward to this map, and I was disappointed. This map isn't finished. On the main farm I can't enter buildings or open gates (yes I own everything). There are wrong textures in some places and the terrain is all messed up with burried buildings and floating objects. The contracts don't work. Also  some triggers are missing and there is a ton of errors.

just because buildings aren’t enterable doesn’t mean the map isn’t finished. I designed it that way. Buildings that are sunk into the ground represent old/retired buildings. That’s why there’s trees and bushes around them. It represents the real life farms accurately.  Contracts work and I believe I’ve fixed all floating buildings. And with all testers the map was error free on release. Please double check your mod conflicts and if your issues persist, I can’t help you further. If those tiny details are enough for you to not play the map I understand. It is my first map, and I’m proud of many things done well on it, but I know it’s not perfect when you look at it through a microscope. 

Hello, map is great and all but there is issue with contracts. Every contract is stuck at 20% even when I finish field 100%

I did not experience this in testing. Please check with the start in spring mod removed, I know that causes some issues.  Otherwise get going into the game a few months. There’s nothing that should prevent contracts from being done.

Hey Antler22 I've played for about 50 hrs so far and I've noticed that the grass yield is very low and when I cut alfalfa it turned into grass. Love the map as well

grass yield is low on purpose. I didn’t want people making ditch hay.  People don’t really grow “grass” in this area anyway it’s usually alfalfa for hay. That’s also why I made alfalfa drop a grass windrow, easier to integrate with game mechanics for animals.

Hey Antler22, where is the milk trigger(s) for the two dairy barns in the farmyard by/near Field 22 (Ashton Corners yard from MRG)? There is that tank sticking out of the shed on the north side, and that is the milk trigger on Ashton, but I noticed there is a lever you gotta flip in that little shed to turn it on but there is no such trigger in your version of the barn. Loving the map layout btw. Thanks

hey there, I overlooked milk triggers unfortunately. There are not any. I would recommend using an auto milk sell type of mod

Ah ok, I assume same with straw consumption/making manure? or am I just doing that wrong lol

straw should work. Make sure you point your straw blower up high when at the feed bunk and it should reach. For manure you’ll need to place down a manure extension bunk thingy 

The map is great but i noticed some water in the fields so i was wondering if there is a way to get rid of it.

There’s another mod that puts water in low spots after rains. It’s not a map thing. It will dry up in time

Where is the file to increase the capacity of the dairy lagoons?  I opened the map in GE, and didn't see it.

Love the map! i've gotten to the winter time now on my save and noticed that there are some areas that have snow and some that do not (mainly a couple of the farms) is that something that could be like a texture glitch or?

nope just lack of attention on my part to the snowmask. I created the snowmask in an early version and didn’t update. It’s all cuz of the old snow mask

oh ok! i thought i was just going crazy. im guessing with farm sim 25 around the corner there isnt going to be that type of update?

no, anything required is baked into the map files

Has anyone had issues where some of the placeables are about half way into the mesh?  The pig pen and an old barn are buried.  Have loaded this in a folder by itself with no additional mods and on a new game save, same result. 

that’s by design. The pig pen and old barn in real life were retired and falling apart, so I sunk them into the ground and put trees and bushes around as decoration to show the overgrowth

Hi Antler22, first off it is a good map, however, I have played on it for 3hours, and a couple of things. No 1 The cow pens you have,  which would be good but where you have the trigger for the cows to be bought, it is to close to the gate so every time you try to click on it it shuts the gate, can you move all the triggers away from gates please. No2 could you give us the option of deleting all the farm buildings, as there is a few of them that you can not walk into and none of the farm houses that you have used you can not do that either, No3 can you remove the calf pens as they do not do anything and there is no triggers in the cow and pigs barns, if you did the 3 things it would be a pleasure to play the map. Any way thank you for making it and as your first one a very good effort  

1) see walkthrough. Gates open to move the trigger to the top of the hill. If you’re using a mouse to active I would suggest changing keybinds so both aren’t done at the same time. 2) no, it’s too much work with FS25 here in a few weeks. I would suggest EasyDev object delete tool to do this yourself. I don’t use farm houses or sleep triggers so didn’t bother putting them in. 3) calf Huts are decorative. I don’t see a problem with them. Adds some color to the farms. As far as triggers, make sure you own the land. Others are playing and successfully purchasing and feeding animals. 

Well I cannot get the dryer to work with corn. I know you said that we don't need to add propane so they should work automatically.  I am using the farm between fields 11 and 12.

there is no dryer, it just acts like a silo. Remove the pit cover and go

did you purchase the land? You must own it. Also, not every gate has an icon. Only the gates with icons are used to load animals, others are just for decoration 

si compre el terreno , solo pude comprar animales para el corral 10 incluso me aparece la opcion de cambial el nombre del corral y cuando les doy su alimento en el comedero solo aparece el alimento en la parte del medio, no aparece de un lado al otro como debe ser. Thank you so much for the hard work on this map. Probably the best i have played in 22. However i am a old man. I am starting season 3 and decided I wanted to start cattle. I must be trying to fill the stave silos by the smaller dairy close to the feedlot, with wrong product. I have tried to put chaff in but no luck. I have tried the blowers, both john deer and new holland and tried to use icons  with and without. Can you tell me what the use to fill silos and what is accepted. Yes i have maize plus ( for the first time ) and this may have something to do with it

In testing these worked fine with grass_windrow and chaff filltypes. I will say the blower placement is crucial, it’s a small trigger you’re trying to hit with them. After that, it’s a placeable from UMRV so I would look that direction for more detailed support 

Thank you for the map! I really like it! I downloaded the Expandable Pasture mod from the ingame modhub. I can't place any of the pastures. It says: You can not place it. Any suggestions what should i do to use this mod?

this sounds like a better question for the creator of that mod. I’m not familiar with it

Antler, the map is amazing. I love it and was wondering if you would ever add traffic to the map? I know most of it is gravel roads but I'm from a more rural area with some gravel roads and plenty of cars still drive down them.

I did work on that some. But with how narrow the roads are ( just like real life) and no paved roads I figured most people would complain about traffic

Have you noticed issues with the silage pads at the dairy? We have begun unloading one of the pads after fermentation, but the tarp does not continue to roll out. It is now opened the back side of the pad instead of the front, workable side... Not sure if this was intentional or not.

not sure. This silage pad is a public mod, might be worth asking on their page about it. Lazy E modding is the place. 

It's apparently a common bug with silage pads in general, I just haven't had it happen in the past. Downloading the Silo Bunker Utilities mod from the Modhub has seemed to fix it. Chalk it up to Giants typical bs lol.

I downloaded the map very excited to play. For some reason Field 15,16 & 17  have a different look from the rest of the map while being in the precision farming menu tab. I cant select the field to  see or purchase the soil information. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Ps - I did remove all my mods and only added precision farming mop but still was the same. I also tried selling the land and rebuying it, still no difference.

start on a different difficulty. Those farmlands are owned at the start but only on east or medium I think

How can I get the autodrive course that was mentioned in your tutorial video to show up / load onto the map?  (Autodrive version 2.0.1.6 is enabled for my gamesave)

Thank You Antler 22.  I deleted the game's main zip file, then re-downloaded it, and then started a new game save.  I followed your instructions, and the AutoDrive lines did appear.

Are you able to sell Row Crop Soybeans? I have ran into other Row Crop Ready maps that had that issue. I dont wanna download it yet until I know. lol it looks like a damn good map 

haha really? Won’t download on that one little detail, to try for yourself?  A little unconventional i suppose. But yes, you can sell RCR crops

translation is making this a bit hard to understand, but look at my Facebook posts for instructions and watch my video how to load animals. Open the gate w icon, then go load animals at the hilltop, then close the gate again. Only have one gate open at a time. 

How do I bale or pickup  the soybean swath? I'm using the twine and net wrap add on.

PS love this map truly amazing and love the realistic costs of fields and dairys. Very challenging.

Any balers you could suggest? I've tried so many none work from round to square, mods and base game.

you’ll have to look at the xml to be able to tell.  I think the Cunningham Modding 560m works, Bronkemas balers might be worth trying too

Do you lose your progress (finances, building, equipment, etc?) when you uninstall and reinstall for the updates?

nope. Biggest thing you’ll miss is terrain changes, which are minor so I wouldn’t worry about it

grass yeild is terrible and yes fields are 100 on lime and fert

grow alfalfa. Nobody in this area grows grass and I didn’t want people making ditch hay haha

well the yield is terrible on it too....3 combined windrows of alfalfa hay made 1 bale.....so to get enough for a 100 cows im guessing you need about 1000 acres of alfalfa...

sounds like you didn’t fertilize. I set yield for alfalfa to 6-8tons per acre. Plenty for cows. F12 doesn’t fertilize fields if you’re using PF so keep that in mind and make sure your nitrogen and lime are in good levels

if you used easy dev to add alfalfa, your yields will be bad. 

i did not.......oh well this map is outta my mod list....moving on

nope. I did not set one up for Mineral Feed. Have to buy through store. 

I cant get it to show up in the map selection menu

It was working a couple days ago and then i uninstalled the map to get the new update and now its not working and i was really exited to play this map

just make sure you delete your downloads folder or delete the (1) at the end of the file when you redownload. 

Has it been reported the farm on the far right of the map, I can't seem to use the silo addon to get my corn moisture down.

Yep. It’s reverted back to a standard giants silo unfortunately. Treat is as such. 

no problem my man! I just replaced it with the same type of silo and it works with it. No biggie at all big dawg.

Hello Antler. It's a lovely looking map, but I encountered a very odd issue (which given many people seem to be using it happily means it's probably at my end, but I thought you might be interested). Loading the map with autodrive, precision farming and easy dev as the only enabled mods, the soil map for the starting farmlands is just...missing. Nothing obvious in the log, and you can soil scan successfully elsewhere.  I belatedly noticed just as I was about to post this, that the preceding commenter seems to have the same issue.

PS, checking further, this only applies in new farmer mode. Loading in on other difficulties and the soil map is as expected, so that's a perfectly good workaround.
